     Welcome!     
The Bridgeport Art League has been in existence for over 100 years! Its members have a shared interest in the decorative and fine arts. From water and oil painting to drawing, from decorative painting to jewelry design and card making, our members have many opportunities to express themselves artistically. Classes are offered each spring and fall. Monthly meetings, held in Huntington, CT, include informative demonstrations, hands-on workshops and lively conversation.

  History     

The League was organized August 5, 1895 as the Bridgeport League of Keramic Art. Due to growing interest in other forms of art, the name was changed to the Bridgeport Art League on June 1, 1903. The Bridgeport Art League was incorporated under the laws of the State of Connecticut on March 2, 1916. The League thereafter became qualified as a non-profit organization, 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
